I am a Ph.D. researcher in Political Science at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Konstanz in Germany. In my research, I focus on how wartime violence shapes political behaviour in post-conflict societies. I am also interested in the psychological mechanisms that shape the way in which we perceive political actors, such as social groups and states.

I often use spatial analysis and, whenever possible, I try to use creative measurement methods, such as quasi-experimental designs and survey experiments. My research was awarded with the Stuart A. Bremer Award for best graduate student paper and the Christiane-Rajewsky Award for best master thesis.

I am the Principal Investigator on two ongoing research projects:

1 How does wartime violence shape political dynamics in post-conflict societies? 2 How do social hierarchies, public attention, and salient events shape, reinforce, or disrupt perceptions of political actors?
